“Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine.” (1 Timothy 5:17)
Ministers must emulate the senior pastor by being watchful, perfecting the saints, in ministry, and in edifying the body. Their lives must speak of their office in Christ Jesus. These individuals serve as role models to the congregation, the community and the world.
Ministers are the extended arms, ears, eyes and legs of the Chief Shepherd. An Aaron and Hur held up the arms of Moses in the midst of the battle, so shall the Ministers hold up the arms of the Pastor. Also, they must support, promote and encourage his ministry and the fulfillment of his visions for our local church.
Ministers are those who have been called by God to function in the Office of Pastor. They are in training to perform certain tasks, which may include serving as a department head. In this capacity, they have been given authority to lead their respective areas in accordance with the word of God.
Currently there are 28 total Ministers and 16 on staff here at New Life in Christ. It is anticipated that this staff will grow depending upon the call of God and the growth of the congregation.
