When to Pray
When did people of the Bible pray?
Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before. (Daniel 6:10 NIV)
About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. (Acts 10:9 NIV)
One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. (Luke 6:12 NIV)
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. (Mark 1:35 NIV)
Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. (Luke 18:1 NIV)
